Today is the first day of our post exam activities . Sec 1 and 2 will be doing Golf for today and tomorrow, while the sec 3 which is us will be doing Archery for today , Rock -climbing and Dragon Boating for tomorrow. Went to Geylang CC to do Archery , which is near the MAlay village there. Was quite surprised when the bus stopped there. The venue was different from what I thought it to be, but never mind , it would still do. First , we were brief on the names of the different parts of the bow and the arrow. The one we are doing today is known as the bare arrow ( something like that . Can't really remember ) . Anyway then the safety procedure and how to shoot . Later we were divided into groups of 4 and each group will take turns to shoot , but allowed only 3 arrows only . It was quite fun though although I am scared at the beginning . The bow was a bit heavy for me, maybe I got no strength and shooting caused me to have muscle ache. We also watch a video of the different between what we are learning and what the olympic style shooting was . There was also a demo on how to repair the flitch of the arrow. At the end of the day , we have a mini competition within the group to see who can shoot down the 4 balloons. DIdn't thought I would win but I managed to shoot down an orange balloon after my third try. To total up , it was a worthwhile lesson . The teachers also took part in it too. \
After returning to school , jia ping , kirti and I went to mac to eat and rush back to school for one last minute preparation for the competition held at NEA ( national environmental agency ) . We were laughing and calm each other down. I think we did not did so badly though and it was quite a nice presentation although the part when it comes to answering the questions was not so good. But anyway we did our best and that's what matters. So once again would like to thank MS ho , Mr Dinesh, Mr Vinott for helping us and Mr koh for driving us there =) hope we would be able to win the 1st prize for our school , teachers- in charge and for our team .
